Cédric joined the Brain and Development Lab as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2009. He received his M.A. in biopsychology in 2005 at Utrecht University, and obtained his PhD degree in Neuroscience at the University Medical Center in Utrecht in 2009. Cédric started his PhD project in 2005 at the department of psychiatry of the University Medical Center Utrecht. The thesis called “Brainstorm” explored structural brain abnormalities in schizophrenia and depression. In his current work he will be involved in (longitudinal) studies of cognitive control, focusing on structural and functional analyses. The application of multimodal and longitudinal MRI protocols is relevant for a better understanding of (developmental) brain changes and provides a new strategy for the detection and characterization of subtle structural and functional alterations in defined regions of the living brain..
